Hope

Hope is a grand thing. What better to hold on to than hope? Christ. People try to hold on to hope by and for humanity. This hope lasts for a while. Christ's hope lasts as far as the east is from the west. I couldn't think of a better hope to hold on to.

Jesus Christ

He means something to me, if you haven't noticed. Whether you view him the same way as I do, or not, you have to admit he's made the biggest impact this world has ever seen. He teaches, love, hope, freedom, and most importantly grace. How can you not want those things for your life. I know i've screwed up and will screw up, but He paid the price anyway. The price that no man could pay. I'm forever grateful.

P.S. It's never too late.

10 commandments

so today i had summer impact. (an outing deal with uturn where we go to a lake or whatever and do some socializing and spend some Jesus time.) anyways, during our Jesus time i learned an interesting fact...the apostles contemplated not revealing the 10 commandments to the gentiles (us, unless you're a jew). i was thinking about this fact and it was crazy. a couple guys had a decision that could affect thousands, millions, of christians and their lives. had they not shown us the law...in one way it would be easier to live by faith without that burden. but i'm glad we know it. for me the law reminds me how much i need Christ and his saving grace, just because of the fact that the law is impossible to fullfill on your own. "I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die." Galatians 2:21 Word!!!

long time no blog

sup y'all! it's been quite a while. i've just been quite busy. anyways just wanted to let you all know i'm back. "what's new with you ryan?" oh why thankyou for asking. i just got back from camp. unlike past years this camp hasn't been a year of change and revelation. it's been a year of me becoming the man God is calling me to be. i'm finding a sense of purpose and direction. i'm stoked. i still have a lot and always will have a lot of things to work on but i feel i'm getting closer and God is starting to place opportunities for me to share my experiences and wisdom to those that are in the same spots i was in. this is MY faith and MY relationship with God. everyday i'm discovering more and defining that relationship more. i'm excited for the rest of the trip. feel free to follow along on my blog http://incrediryan.blogspot.com or follow it in a shortened way via twitter: www.twitter.com/incrediryan or heck do both. and feel free to hit me up with a nudge if i forget to keep y'all updated.

patience young padawan

so yet again i'm being stretched in the area of patience...in a couple huge ways. but the one i'm gonna share about is music. as a lot of you know i really want to do music for my career. yet again i'm finding myself irritated with this area. seeing how the group i'm trying to get stuff started with is never able to get together! how is it some people, with little training, dedication, talent, or gear hit up these amazing opportunities?! it makes me sick some times. so right now i'm stuck waiting for my chance...hopefully graduation. i'm honestly kinda sick of olympia and can't wait to get out... (cali, seattle, portland, etc.) eventually my time will come. i just gotta wait on the lord and trust in him.
